Weight Management (A new mindset and approach to food)

Weight management is challenging, even for the most committed person.  The reality is that diets don’t work.

You know this because each diet you have tried doesn’t give you the lasting effects that you want, and more often than not, the weight comes back on.  Hypnotherapy allows you to develop a new relationship with food, your body and yourself. see more

Virtual Gastric Band (No dieting, no deprivation, no hunger pains)

The Virtual Gastric Band is an easy weightless program, usually taking 4 sessions. As the name suggests, the system utilises the concept of a “virtual” gastric band and clinical hypnotherapy. It is a non-surgical technique which works directly with the subconscious mind to change the behaviours and eating habits that lead to weight gain in the first place. see more

Addictions and Habits

Your habits and addictions are formed in the subconscious part of your brain. Issues such as smoking, excessive drinking, gambling, drug use and nail biting can be successfully treated using hypnotherapy because it accesses the unconscious mind to allow these behaviours to be re-programmed. see more

Confidence and Self-esteem

Self-esteem is essentially how you think and feel about yourself. People with healthy self-esteem like themselves and value their achievements. People with low self-esteem often feel unhappy or unsatisfied with themselves most of the time. see more

Individual sessions can be used to curb cravings, or overcoming resistance to exercise.  Alternatively, a customised package can be created for you to address your own particular challenges, to get you on the best path to long term successful weight management.

Whether it is general long-term over eating, excess snacking, poor nutritional choices, hypnosis for weight loss will work.  After the first treatment, clients report an immediate change in the quantity of food that they need to feel satisfied.  By the end of the four sessions, your relationship with food in general will be reprogrammed, and you will be back in control, better able to make decisions that you know are right for your body. To help continue and maintain great results, you’ll be provided with a personalised take-home CD and a workbook.

If you want to change your bad habits or behaviours, then hypnosis is the ideal tool to help.

Through hypnosis we can address the reasons why the subconscious part of you is preventing you from achieving your goal and make the changes you want, effortlessly. Hypnosis bypasses the need for willpower to drive the change you want, and instead allows that part of you that controls your behaviour create the transformation for you.

Confidence and Self-esteem

Self-esteem is essentially how you think and feel about yourself.  People with healthy self-esteem like themselves and value their achievements.  People with low self-esteem often feel unhappy or unsatisfied with themselves most of the time. This often leads to a lack of confidence, anxiety and negativity.   Hypnotherapy is a highly effective tool used to build up feelings of self-confidence, calm and relaxation, which reduces stress, self-doubt and negative self-talk.  It can help you to adjust your mindset, develop more optimistic ways of thinking and cultivate attitudes that will help you to see yourself and others differently, more positively, and without the judgement that is preventing you from not getting the most out of life.

Stress, Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Anxiety may present itself in different forms, including social phobias, panic attacks and generalised anxiety disorder. The reasons for the presence of anxiety disorders vary individually. For some, the fear stems from early childhood events; for others, it may be a defence mechanism for subconscious conflict or as a reaction to stress.

The good news is that anxiety and social phobias can be treated very well with hypnosis. Hypnotherapy for anxiety will help you replace anxious thoughts and feelings with calmness, confidence, and rationality. Within just three to four sessions, you will be able to face challenges and deal with situations that would have otherwise left you feeling overwhelmed.

Fears, Phobias and PTSD

Phobias are a form of anxiety disorder that are triggered when a stimulus occurs. They differ from regular fears in that the person experiences a reaction that is way out of proportion to the thing or situation compared to a regular person.

Sufferers often experience heart racing, sweating, shaking, nausea and/or paralysis. Common phobias include a fear of flying, spiders, dogs, open spaces, birds, public speaking. Extreme trauma can also result in a condition known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

When we experience a traumatic event we naturally focus very deeply, becoming highly suggestible, and then we unconsciously learn to be terrified of any post-hypnotic trigger in the future that reminds us, even vaguely, of the original incident. Using a combination of The Rewind Technique (a tried and tested approach to treating PTSD and phobias) and hypnotherapy, phobic and traumatic symptoms can be greatly reduced and even removed completely without you having to relive the trauma.

This approach means you do not have to experience your fear, phobia or traumatic incident (s) again in order to receive treatment for it.  In fact, I do not even need to know the details of your particular event in order to be able to successfully treat it.
